Process Engineer About Taurus Industrial Group (Taurus) Taurus is a leading technical services contractor in the energy and industrial sector. With operations spanning the Gulf Coast, Mid-west, Cananda and Mexico, we offer an end-to-end service offering to our customers through Engineering, Infrastructure, Electrical & Instrumentation, Specialty Services divisions. Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Process Engineer based in our Port Lavaca, Texas office. The Process Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Read, interpret, and approve engineering drawings and specifications. Engineering support for Process discipline with ability to work independently. Provide Process Engineering support for assigned projects. Apply skills with technical knowledge in the application of process applications. Design support for process equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, skids units, etc. Knowledge of process equipment and systems, applicable codes and standards to ensure the most effective design is in compliance with Safety and Loss Prevention principles, industry standards, good engineering practice and local codes and regulations. Support process equipment specification and procurement. Providing estimates of work to be performed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Team player able to work effectively with other disciplines. Excellent written/verbal communication skills are a must. Comfortable with fast-paced work environment. Quick learner. Excellent problem-solving skills and documentation/procedural skills. Safety and detail focused. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical reporting skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Strong time/project management skills. Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
