Job Description

OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST
(Thermoplastics / Production Technologist)Mon-Sun 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm$25.00-$32.00 Main tasks and responsibilities: Set up and start injection molding machines, molds and auxiliary equipment.
  • Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time) to achieve optimal cycle times and quality.
  • Analyze production data and make process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Implement changes to improve part consistency and surface finish.
  • Solves simple technical problems in production that shift managers cannot solve.
  • Regularly cleans tools and machines and assembly lines in production.
  • Cooperates with independent operational technologists on more demanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Record machine settings, process changes and production data What do we expect?
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding technology.
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials and molding principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of machine control systems (e.g. Engel, Arburg, Sumitomo, …).
  • Experience with IBM and EBM technology is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality and safety.
  • 2-5 years in injection molding setup, processing and technician roles.
