Job Description

Process Engineer Position Summary A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Engineer to support process improvement, product development, operational excellence, and manufacturing performance initiatives. This individual will play a key role in troubleshooting production challenges, optimizing processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving continuous improvement efforts across a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with hands-on manufacturing experience and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Support manufacturing operations through process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability. Conduct laboratory testing and technical evaluations of materials, products, and processes. Assist with the development, scale-up, and commercialization of new products. Evaluate and recommend manufacturing equipment, technologies, and process improvements. Utilize engineering tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and statistical methods to improve operational performance. Partner with maintenance and operations teams to address equipment performance and reliability issues. Develop and maintain technical documentation, project records, procedures, and work instructions. Support environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives related to manufacturing processes. Train and support production personnel on process improvements, operating procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives. Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and lower manufacturing costs. Manage multiple projects while maintaining priorities and meeting established deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field required. Chemical Engineering degree strongly preferred. Equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for candidates with a demonstrated record of achievement and progression. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions. Experience in process improvement, manufacturing operations, and project execution. Working knowledge of machining, fabrication, and fluid systems, including pumps, fans, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively across operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams.
