Position Overview As a Pre-Construction Engineer, you will focus on the technical analysis, problem-solving, and cost estimation that occurs before a project ever breaks ground. Working directly alongside our Estimating Manager, you will learn how to transition complex architectural concepts into practical, buildable cost proposals. Key Responsibilities & Skills You Will Master Advanced Digital Takeoffs & Estimating Tech :

Gain total mastery in Bluebeam Revu for digital takeoffs and learn to build sophisticated, data-driven cost models in advanced Microsoft Excel environments. Constructability Analysis & Value Engineering (VE): Actively bridge the gap between design and reality. You will dissect architectural blueprints and structural drawings, spot design conflicts before they happen, and propose innovative Design-Build alternatives directly to clients.

Supply Chain & Vendor Procurement :

Learn the logistics of specialty custom finishing (anodizing, powder coating, patinas) and master procurement by vetting structural material suppliers to secure competitive pricing. B2

B Client Management & Bid Strategy :

Interface directly with Project Managers and Estimators from Top 400 ENR General Contractors. You will help manage the bid lifecycle from initial Request for Proposal (RFP) to final award, mastering the post-bid RFI process.

Qualifications Education:

Upcoming graduating senior or recent graduate with a degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.

Blueprint Literacy:

Strong foundational ability to read and interpret commercial architectural and structural drawings.

Analytical Mindset:

A sharp eye for numbers, strong spatial awareness, and a highly organized approach to tracking data.

Professional Communication:

Clear verbal and written skills for collaborating with internal teams and General Contractor project managers.
