Job Description
Founded in 1999, Innovative Construction Solutions (ICS) is a California-based environmental construction company with 170+ employees across California and Washington. We specialize in environmental remediation, water/wastewater treatment systems, hazardous waste management, and federal contracting. As a Federal Small Business (NAICS 562910) with $175-million bonding capacity and Class A general engineering contractor status, ICS delivers projects that protect, remediate, and restore our environment while addressing critical infrastructure challenges. This role will support a project in Carson, CA for 3-6 months. Homebase office will be out of Costa Mesa, CA.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support job setup and preconstruction efforts through utilization of project management and accounting systems, issuing POs and subcontracts, and coordinating vendors and subcontractors. Assist in the development a baseline schedules and routine 3-week look ahead schedules, in collaboration with Project Manager and Superintendent. Prepare and review materials submittal packages Assist with preparation of subcontractor agreements Assist with vetting of subcontractors/material suppliers for the project Solving construction problems as soundly as possible Updating project schedule and look ahead schedule Conducting surveys on the sites where the construction is to take place Acting as the quality control and assurance to ensure that the project objectives are met Assist with ensuring all construction safety rules and regulations are being observed Prepare daily job costs and daily field logs for the project Obtain construction materials and verify for accuracy Monitor the cost of the materials against budget Support adherence to scope of work, budget, plans, specifications, and safety standards by monitoring project progress, verifying approved materials, inspecting workmanship, and verifying quantities and calculations. All other duties as assigned by Management Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Create reports; document organization skills; teamwork mentality Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software a must; Viewpoint accounting software, Bid2Win Estimating software a plus Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company Effective analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask effectively Education/Training Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering Management, Civil Engineering or similar field from accredited College or University Minimum three (3) years verifiable experience Construction industry experience preferred Must have 40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-HrHAZWOPER

Must be able to recognize safety signs and signals both visually and audibly, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Regularly ascends/descends a ladder and/or stairs Must be able to operate hand and power tools Frequently moves equipment, supplies and/or tools weighing up to 50 pounds Regularly required to position self, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch or crawl Use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
