Job Summary A well-established structural engineering firm is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join its growing team in El Cajon, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an engineer with 3 or more years of structural design experience who wants to contribute to a diverse mix of commercial, residential, renovation, tenant improvement, and retrofit projects. The Structural Project Engineer will be involved from concept through construction, working closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver practical, code-compliant structural solutions. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys technical design, field coordination, and seeing projects move from drawings to completed construction. - Design structural systems for new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, and retrofit projects.
- Prepare structural calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with architects, multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout project development.
- Use Autodesk Revit, structural analysis software, and drafting tools to create and refine engineering plans.
- Perform site visits, field investigations, construction observations, submittal reviews, and RFI responses.
- Support project proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, scheduling, and coordination while managing multiple assignments. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $85,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
