About the job The Project Engineer will support civil and mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout, coordinating technical, field, and project activities to keep work on schedule, within budget, and aligned with project requirements. We're looking for someone who
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Has approximately 5+ years of experience in project engineering, construction engineering, civil construction, mechanical construction, or a related environment
  • Has previous experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or in a similar role
  • Has a strong understanding of engineering principles and construction project processes
  • Has experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and technical documentation
  • Has working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, cost tracking, project controls, and project documentation
  • Can identify technical, design, and constructability issues and develop practical solutions
  • Has experience coordinating with engineering, field, contractor, subcontractor, and project management teams
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Can independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively in both written and verbal settings
  • Is comfortable working on-site as an individual contributor What you'll do
  • Support engineering and construction projects from preconstruction through execution and closeout
  • Coordinate project goals, processes, schedules, deliverables, and day-to-day activities
  • Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and technical documentation
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical engineering support to field teams and help resolve design, construction, and field issues
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, technical documentation, and project correspondence
  • Participate in constructability reviews and identify potential design, engineering, or field conflicts
  • Monitor project schedules, costs, budgets, forecasts, materials, and other project resources
  • Coordinate procurement requirements, subcontractor scopes, materials, and project deliverables
  • Track project progress and ensure construction activities align with plans, specifications, and project requirements
  • Support engineering, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify schedule, cost, design, resource, and constructability challenges and develop practical solutions
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, reports, and progress updates
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate technical and project updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support inspections, punch lists, project closeout, and final documentation #
ALLJ Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
