Full job description We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and detail-oriented construction Project Engineer with a strong passion for the construction industry. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Managers and Administrative Team by managing project-related documents, assist in scheduling, tracking field documentation (including safety meetings), maintaining meeting notes, RFI logs, and submittals. This individual will collaborate with the project team, subcontractors, client partners, and field employees to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Responsibilities Oversee submittals and materials processing per client requirements Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project timelines and milestones - including coordinating site services procurement and tracking orders Prepare, maintain and track project correspondence and documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, change estimates, change orders, project logs, etc. Job Setup for superintendents including travel arrangements Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services Field documentation tracking including safety meetings, daily reports, uploading photos and videos, document subcontractor participation Maintain clear, open and effective communication with project team members, subcontractors, and clients Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes and provide updates on project status and progress Complete job closeouts and submit to client Qualifications Proven 3 years work experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction with familiarity with the various trades Strong and Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook Experience in Bluebeam and Microsoft Project preferred Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work tasks to meet deadlines Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates effectively with management, employees, customers, and vendors High level of motivation, integrity, and commitment to team and customers The ability to tactfully handle difficult situations Able to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to complex tasks Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and able to quickly adapt and adjust to address the needs of the project and customer Working Conditions This is an in-person position located in La Palma (Anaheim area), CA The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated.
