Job Description
Ardurra is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on public projects to join our team Newport, CA ! As the demand to improve municipal infrastructure increases we recognize the very diverse and unique needs of our municipal clients and we work closely alongside local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to find economical and environmentally balanced solutions. Ardurra's multi-discipline capabilities enables us to offer our clients a seamless team of planners, surveyors, scientists, and engineers for a more integrated and cost-effective project delivery. Primary Function The Senior Civil Engineer will play a technical lead role for a variety of public work infrastructure projects. The engineering tasks include design work, research, and preparation of drawings and designs for site layout, horizontal utility projects (water, wastewater, stormwater), site grading, and drainage, including permitting and planning to serve our local municipal clients. Strong understanding of the environmental and land development regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators and construction administration of public and private land development projects. Primary Duties Design and review plans for municipal infrastructure projects including streets, sewer and water systems, storm drainage, and public facilities Perform civil engineering calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents Assist or lead the project concept designs and participates in the final project design Provide technical support and coordination during construction, including field inspections, change orders, and contractor communication Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or other relevant discipline PE license in CA is preferred 6+ years of directly applicable experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies Strong organizational skills, and ability to function efficiently within a project team environment Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other design software
