The Civil Engineer prepares drawings for new construction project and building renovation project. Prepares documents for city project approval and reviews the project progress and monitor the project quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Use AutoCAD to prepare drawings for Engineering projects (new construction and building renovation) and as requested by management Prepare the necessary documents for city/state or other agency approval. Review the engineering design drawings which are designed by outside design company Discuss with city/state planning and approval department about projects Review the project progress Monitor the project quality to ensure all items meet our design specification and construction code. Examines the accuracy of field work vs design drawings. Prepare project turnover package Process project PO and invoice. Organize all project document and project drawings. Coordinate with outside contractor. Update the existing building floor plan and utility P&ID drawing Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-years college or university in General Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, construction code, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and communicate with government agency.
Other Skills:
Knowledge of word processing and a good computer skill.
