Job Title:
Geotechnical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Project Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team!!!! The successful candidate will manage projects during both investigation and construction phases, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and addressing any field project management or engineering issues. You will conduct thorough site investigations, write detailed reports, and ensure accurate documentation of all geotechnical aspects of the project. Responsibilities Manage projects during both investigation and construction phases. Conduct thorough site investigations. Visit job sites to ensure compliance with engineering standards. Address field project management or engineering issues. Write detailed reports and addendums. Ensure accurate documentation and communication of all geotechnical aspects of the project. Essential Skills Strong field experience in geotechnical engineering.
Proficiency in key geotechnical software:
Slide (slope stability analysis), C-Liq (liquefaction analysis), SHAFT (pile analysis), Settle 3 (settlement analysis). Experience in slope stability, report writing, and fieldwork. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required). 3+ years of geotechnical experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) certification (advantageous). Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical, or related field. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Experience in site investigations and soil testing. Work Environment We are a family-owned small business specializing in geotechnical engineering. Our projects include downtown high rises, schools, hospitals, Caltrans, DSA, and OSHPD. We have a team of experienced GE and PE professionals, providing ample training and mentorship opportunities. We value versatility and the ability to wear multiple hats. The schedule is generally in-office from Monday to Friday, 9-5, with flexibility based on project requirements and potential for overtime as required by the project. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr. We have several career opportunities in both our San Diego and Irvine offices.
