Job Description
Senior Structural Engineer T&S Structural is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated engineering professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating with clients and design teams, and mentoring developing engineers. Position Responsibilities The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for managing and designing structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the structural design and analysis of commercial, residential, institutional, and other building projects. Design structural systems using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry. Prepare and review structural calculations, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports. Manage projects from initial design through construction administration. Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, consultants, and other members of the project team. Review drawings and calculations for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Project Engineers and other engineering staff. Perform site visits, field observations, and existing-condition assessments as needed. Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and provide engineering support during construction. Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients. Participate in internal quality-control and quality-assurance reviews. Support the continued development of T&S Structural's engineering standards and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer ( PE ) license required; Structural Engineer ( SE ) license preferred. Minimum 8+ years of structural engineering experience preferred. Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, building codes, and industry standards. Experience designing building structures using a variety of structural materials and systems. Demonstrated experience managing projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams. Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience mentoring or overseeing junior engineering staff. Proficiency with structural engineering and design software. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred. Why Join T&S Structural?
