Project Engineer -
Construction Location:
Alameda, CA Compensation:
$80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience

Field Talent Field Talent is seeking a Project Engineer to support a construction project in Alameda, California. This position will work closely with the project management and field teams to keep the project organized, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of construction experience, understands project documentation, and is comfortable coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and ownership. Key Responsibilities Assist with project schedules, budgets, and general conditions Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, correspondence, and project documentation Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and track action items Request, receive, and track subcontractor bids Assist with subcontractor contracts and procurement Coordinate permits, inspections, and project requirements with local agencies Track project progress and provide regular reports, photos, and videos Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Assist with material procurement to keep the project on schedule Support project closeout documentation Communicate with subcontractors, inspectors, design consultants, ownership, and other project partners Provide general support for daily project needs Qualifications 1-3 years of experience supporting construction projects Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications Familiarity with permitting, bidding, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general construction documentation Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions Flexibility to work additional hours when needed to meet project deadlines Jobsite Requirements This is a jobsite-based position in Alameda. Required personal protective equipment must be worn while on-site. PPE may include a hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, work boots, gloves, and any additional equipment required by the project. Candidates must be willing to complete any required pre-employment screening.
