Project Manager About the Job V3 Construction, Inc. (CSLB #1097923, DIR #1000111034) is a California general engineering subcontractor performing public works infrastructure. On the California High-Speed Rail Track and Systems Contract (HSR23-32) under KSWH (Kiewit / Stacy Witbeck / Herzog JV), V3's scope includes cable trough, manholes, duct crossings, and transition structures ahead of track installation between Merced and Bakersfield. The Project Engineer will support the engineering and administrative management of V3's scope and serve as a key link between V3's Project Manager, field supervision, KSWH, suppliers, subcontractors, and designers. What You'll Do Prepare, submit, track, and close RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and shop drawings; maintain associated project logs. Review plans, specifications, and revisions for requirements affecting V3's work and ensure current revisions are communicated to the field. Identify and document potential changes, delays, differing site conditions, and extra work; track contractual notice requirements and support change order pricing, preparation, and submission. Obtain vendor quotations, prepare purchase orders, and track submittal approvals, fabrication, and deliveries. Assist with lower-tier subcontractor administration, including scope, insurance, compliance, and required deliverables. Coordinate daily with field supervision regarding drawings, materials, schedules, site access, inspections, and field issues. Assist in preparing work plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and QC checklists in required KSWH formats; maintain QC, testing, and daily reporting records. Track quantities and assist with project cost reporting, forecasting, invoice review, and progress-billing backup. Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes and action items, and follow up on assigned items with KSWH and other project participants. Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, O&M documentation, and turnover packages. Maintain complete and organized project records within V3's SharePoint system. Perform other project engineering and administrative duties as assigned by the Project Manager. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant construction experience may be considered. 2-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Office Engineer, Field Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction position. Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, construction drawings, and specifications. Ability to read and understand construction plans and technical documents. Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel. Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Willingness to work full-time on-site from the project office and visit active construction areas as required. Valid driver's license. Preferred Experience Large public works, rail, highway, utility, or heavy-civil construction. California High-Speed Rail or other rail systems experience is a strong plus. Cable trough, duct bank, manholes, underground utilities, and cast-in-place or precast concrete structures. Design coordination, change management, cost and quantity tracking, schedule coordination, QA/QC documentation, and large-project document control. Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, HCSS, CMiC, ProContractor, and/or SharePoint. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Temp-to-Hire This position is anticipated to begin as a full-time, on-site temporary assignment with the opportunity for direct employment with V3 Construction based upon performance, project needs, and mutual agreement. Pay:

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
