Job Description:
We are seeking a Project Engineer (0-2 years experience) to join a reputable general contractor to support a wide range of commercial projects across the Denver Metro area. This role offers exposure to diverse project types including hospitals, medical office buildings, and cultural facilities, as well as smaller tenant improvement projects (e.g., pharmacies). Projects range from $100K tenant improvements up to $10M-$25M ground-up construction, giving candidates strong variety and hands-on experience early in their careers.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily based on job sites throughout the Denver Metro area. Typical hours are 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, averaging 40-45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution Assist with interpreting, writing, and processing construction documents Coordinate subcontractors and help manage schedules and deliverables Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with project specifications Track project progress and assist with reporting and documentation Support project closeout procedures Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field 0-2 years of experience in construction (internships or entry-level experience acceptable) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work on-site and adapt to changing project needs
Preferred:
Experience working on commercial construction projects Exposure to healthcare or institutional projects Familiarity with construction documentation and project coordination Experience working with subcontractors or in a GC environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
