Entry or Mid-Level Engineer - Soil Structures Engineering LLC (Monument, CO)
Salary:
$65,000 - $85,000 (paid bi-weekly)

Full-Time, In-Office About Us Soil Structures Engineering (SSE) is a small geotechnical and structural engineering consulting firm based in Monument, Colorado. We specialize in the design of earth retaining structures, mechanical slope stabilization, and other geo-structural blended site components. Our team is detail-oriented, highly technical, and focused on delivering practical and dependable engineering solutions. Position Overview We are seeking an Entry or Mid-level Project Engineer to support geotechnical and structural design work, project documentation, site evaluations, and engineering analyses. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who wants hands-on experience in both field and office environments while growing their technical abilities in a high-responsibility, client-facing role. Key Responsibilities Assist in analysis and design of retaining walls, foundations, slope stabilization, earthwork, reinforced concrete and steel elements Prepare engineering reports, calculations, design drawings, and technical memos Perform field evaluations, construction observations, and verification inspections Support senior engineers with project coordination, permitting documentation, and submittal reviews Work with CAD staff to prepare plan sets and technical details Maintain accurate project records, logs, and field documentation Interact professionally with contractors, clients, and municipal reviewers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, soil behavior, and structural mechanics Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills Ability to perform field work in varying conditions Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD; experience with geotechnical and structural software is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary (paid bi-weekly) Paid time off and Holidays Flexible schedule Meaningful responsibility and project ownership early in your career Opportunities for professional growth and licensure support A technical, collaborative team environment Exposure to a broad range of geotechnical and structural projects Location This position is in-person at our Monument, Colorado office.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
