Job Description

ROTHA Contracting Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and support roadway and bridge construction projects. The Project Engineer serves as a critical link between the office and the field, ensuring that construction activities are executed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Work closely with Project Managers, foremen, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth field operations Coordinate material deliveries and verify that materials meet project specifications Participate in progress meetings and communicate field conditions to the project team Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents Assist in processing submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information) Work with the project team to prepare field work packages for upcoming activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Background in heavy civil construction, with preferred experience in bridge andn roadway infrastructure projects. Familiarity with construction management software (BlueBeam) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Physical Requirements Ability to work in an active outdoor construction environment in various weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Certifications & Licenses Valid driver's license required OSHA 10 certification required (can be obtained after hire) Compensation & Benefits Health Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) eligibility with 6% company match Company mobile device program Paid time off and paid holidays Annual bonus opportunities Weekly pay
