Have direct access to leadership and decision-making Take ownership of inspection programs-not just assignments Work closely with State DOT clients and project stakeholders Experience faster career progression and PE support Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Structural Engineer to lead NBIS-compliant bridge inspections for state DOT and transportation infrastructure projects. This role includes managing and performing routine, in-depth, fracture critical, tunnel, and ancillary structure inspections in accordance with NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) and FHWA guidelines, while leading field teams and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise bridge inspection teams on State DOT and public infrastructure projects Perform and oversee NBIS-compliant bridge inspections Conduct structural condition assessments Prepare and review inspection reports Coordinate with DOT agencies and internal teams Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Utilize specialized equipment such as snooper trucks, bucket trucks, rope access, and confined space procedures Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering EIT required; PE preferred (CT PE strongly preferred) 5+ years of NBIS bridge inspection experience NBIS-qualified Team Leader
