Full-Time Building website: www.voyagerresidences.com Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Building Engineer to oversee maintenance operations for a newly developed 162-unit Class A multifamily community with ground-floor retail. This individual will play a key leadership role during lease-up and stabilization, ensuring the property operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is technically capable, organized, responsive, and capable of leading a maintenance team while managing all major building systems, vendors, and preventive maintenance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and support staff Establish and manage preventive maintenance programs and schedules Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes Respond to resident service requests and emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner Support apartment turnovers and ensure units are prepared to Class A standards Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment Assist with budgeting, capital planning, and operational cost control Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order tracking through property management software Support property management during lease-up operations and resident retention initiatives Qualifications Minimum 5 years of building engineering, facilities, or maintenance leadership experience Multifamily, hospitality, condominium, or mixed-use experience preferred Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems EPA Certification required CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred Experience with Yardi, Entrata, or similar property management systems preferred Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical building issues efficiently Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement benefits Professional growth opportunities within a growing organization About the Community This newly developed Class A rental community offers modern residences, luxury amenities, and integrated retail in one of Miami's growing residential corridors near Miami International Airport.
