Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative structural designs, conducting comprehensive structural analyses, and ensuring that all projects comply with relevant building codes and construction regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in civil and structural engineering practices, with proficiency in a variety of CAD and structural analysis tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex projects across diverse sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. Duties Develop and review structural designs for various building types, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures, ensuring safety and efficiency. Perform detailed structural analysis using advanced tools such as FEAs (Finite Element Analysis) software to evaluate load capacities and system performance. Prepare construction documents utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Conduct building code analysis to ensure compliance with local and international standards, including seismic, wind, and load requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to develop project schedules, manage timelines, and coordinate design phases effectively. Review geotechnical reports and incorporate geotechnical engineering principles into foundation and system design. Assist in the development of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation through precise technical writing. Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Utilize project management methodologies to track progress, allocate resources efficiently, and mitigate potential risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction regulations and emerging industry practices to enhance project quality. Skills Proficiency in structural analysis tools such as Mathcad, FEAs, and other relevant software platforms. Extensive experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Strong understanding of building code compliance across various jurisdictions. Demonstrated expertise in developing structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and system-based structures. Knowledge of construction regulations related to safety standards and environmental considerations. Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and integrate geotechnical engineering principles into design solutions. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration across multidisciplinary projects. Experience in project scheduling, project management practices, and technical drafting. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for site analysis and system design integration. Background in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering practices within the construction industry. Pay:
$95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
