PROJECT ENGINEER
Location:
Southeast (Georgia, Alabama & Northern Florida projects) About the Company This well-established contractor delivers critical infrastructure and emergency response services across highway, railroad, marine, and energy sectors. Known for tackling complex, large-scale projects, they've built a strong reputation for quality, safety, and long-term success. Overview We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on field experience, exposure to large infrastructure work, and a clear path for growth within a strong team environment. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Management Team in executing construction projects from start to finish Coordinate with owners, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment Monitor field activities to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and contract requirements Assist in developing construction work plans and jobsite documentation Create and maintain project schedules (CPM) and track progress Track quantities and support accurate project billing and cost control Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery to site Interpret plans and specifications and assist with site layout and control points Maintain as-built documentation and coordinate surveying activities Promote and enforce safety and environmental compliance on all jobsite activities Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Knowledge of heavy civil construction and materials (aggregate/asphalt) Understanding of project management principles Experience with Primavera P6, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar is a plus Key Benefits of the Opportunity Work on large, high-impact infrastructure projects (bridge, marine, railroad, and more) Join a highly experienced team with strong mentorship and training Clear growth path into Project Management and leadership roles Exposure to complex, technically challenging work early in your career Stable, well-established company with a long-standing reputation Strong team culture focused on development, collaboration, and support Opportunity to gain hands-on field experience across diverse project @typesSimilar remote jobs
