Project Engineer Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement Assist project manager with project documents (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, invoices etc.) Assist superintendent and project team with daily project coordination, coordinate subcontractors, and procure construction materials verifying that materials meet the project specifications Perform Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks Perform survey and project layout Submit daily reports detailing the quantity of materials installed, work completed, progress made on the project, ensuring that materials are correct and not defective Review current processes and enforce company safety procedures and OSHA operating standards Assist with project forecasts, budget management, overall contract requirements, project plans, schedule, estimated crew size, equipment, and production rates Willingness to travel to construction sites (may require frequent site visits) Other duties as assigned Financial Management & Risk Assessment Assist with project forecasts, budget management, and overall contract requirements Culture & Talent Development Support the team with various duties, including preparing documents Develop and manage project team, to include recruitment as necessary Wear attire that is appropriate for office and project setting (business casual) Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude in all interactions to foster a productive and collaborative work environment
Requirements/Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in construction engineering or project management Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills Proficient in estimating and project management software Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control procedures OSHA 30 is required Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent client service and relationship-building skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Salary/Benefits:
