Job Description
Local Company has an immediate opening for a qualified Building Envelope/Engineering Technician. The position entails building envelope inspections, including assessment of water intrusion, building envelope failures, testing of window and door systems, and assessment of construction deficiencies. The position will also include the preparation of reports, construction bid documents, and design/preparation of waterproofing or other building material installation detail drawings. The candidate must be able to lift and carry 50lbs, climb, sit, squat, use hand tools, and have no fear of heights.
Minimum Requirement:
A High School diploma is a must. College education in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction management is a bonus. 3 years or more of practical experience in the construction industry. Demonstrate knowledge of building systems, including roofing, cladding, and waterproofing. Ability to read and understand building plans. Basic knowledge of Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (AutoCAD). Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to read and understand building plans. Proficiency in writing reports and daily logs. Valid Driver's license with clean driving record. Willingness to travel out of town/state as needed .Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and background check.Preferred Experience:
Project management including the construction industry. Engineering degree or Engineer Intern (E.I.) designation. Engineering or Construction Industry-specific experience with AutoCAD. Benefits Paid time off. Phone allowance. Sign on bonus after one year completion. Mileage reimbursement.Benefits
