Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our team!What You'll Be Doing:
Perform engineering and design assignments using basic structural engineering principles and fundamental theories learned in a bachelor's program. Work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams to complete bridge design tasks and plan development for transportation projects.Prepare or assist in preparing:
Basic engineering calculations and analyses, Material quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, Field surveys and design layouts Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts. Under guidance of a more senior engineer: Review supplier drawing submittals for technical compliance, Support technical bid evaluations and analyses Assist in the preparation and issuance of: Specifications, Data sheets, other construction and engineering documents Provide technical input, markups, and coordination guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters working on the same project. Support project documentation, engineering records, and quality processes as required. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related discipline). Typically 0+ years of related civil/structural or general engineering experience (internships or co-ops a plus). Basic knowledge of engineering concepts in civil/structural or related fields. Familiarity with CAD tools and common PC software packages used in engineering (e.g., AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit, MS Office). Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
EIT/FE certification in progress or completed (or ability to obtain).Security Clearance Requirement:
