This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in civil engineering, whether as a Field Engineer, Office Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager, who aspire to take on larger projects and advance to Project Manager roles. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced project managers and field personnel to oversee highway, bridge, drainage, and infrastructure projects, including tasks heavily related to FDOT. Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with project managers and superintendents on ongoing heavy civil projects.
• Managing RFIs, submittals, engineering documents, and project documentation.
• Monitoring costs, material quantities, production, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinating with the field crew to schedule project activities and material deliveries.
• Aiding in budget preparation, forecasts, cost reports, and processing change orders.
• Liaising with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and project leaders.
• Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and contract elements.
• Allocating 20 to 30 percent of time on field visits.
• Upholding safety standards, ensuring quality compliance, and adherence to contracts.

Desired qualifications include:

• At least three years of experience on civil engineering projects focusing on highways, roads, bridges, drainage, or utilities.
• Expertise in handling RFIs, submittals, documentation, cost analysis, and project scheduling.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Preferred experience with FDOT or similar DOT projects.
• Familiarity with tools such as Primavera P6, HCSS, or Bluebeam is an advantage.
