This is a unique opportunity to become a key internal structural resource supporting mechanical construction projects rather than working within a traditional structural consulting group. The engineer will partner directly with mechanical engineers, project teams, and field operations to develop practical structural solutions for equipment, systems, supports, and complex facility construction. Key Responsibilities Provide structural engineering support for commercial mechanical construction projects Design and evaluate structural supports, framing, equipment supports, and related systems Perform structural calculations and prepare engineering documentation Review and stamp structural designs and calculations as required Evaluate field conditions and develop practical engineered solutions Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, piping, VDC, and construction teams Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and structural requirements Support structural needs associated with mechanical equipment and building systems Collaborate with external design teams, general contractors, and project stakeholders Help establish and grow internal structural engineering standards and capabilities Support projects including healthcare, data center, commercial, and other complex facilities Requirements Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline Professional structural design experience Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, structural supports, and applicable building codes Experience supporting mechanical systems, equipment, piping, industrial facilities, or complex building construction preferred Healthcare, mission-critical, data center, or industrial project experience is a plus Experience with structural analysis/design software Comfortable working directly with construction and field operations Compensation & Benefits Performance and company-based bonus opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement benefits Paid holidays and PTO Professional development support
