$65,000-$80,000 Immediate Need Lexdyn is a metro Atlanta interiors general contractor, about 10 years in business with roughly 15 people. They build high-rise Class A office interiors in Buckhead and Midtown, plus corporate work for clients like Delta and Coca-Cola. In 2022 they made a deliberate call to build preconstruction in-house instead of running the usual model where every PM estimates and bids their own work. That group is one person right now, their Director of Preconstruction. You would be the second. This is a build-it-with-us seat, not a slot in a machine. What you'll be doing Perform quantity takeoffs and build estimates for interiors, corporate, healthcare, and industrial projects Assemble bid packages, solicit and level subcontractor pricing, and track scope gaps Read and interpret drawings and specs, then ask the questions that keep scope from falling through the cracks Support competitive bids on tight turnarounds. Proposals here often go to award within 4-8 weeks. Sit in on client and design-team conversations and hand off cleanly to operations at buyout Survey projects in the field visiting job sites 1-2 times a week. Work side by side with the Director of Preconstruction daily and learn precon from someone who does all of it What we're looking for Open on experience level. A construction management grad with a couple of internships works. So does an assistant estimator or precon coordinator at a larger GC who wants out of the cube farm. Comfortable in Bluebeam and Excel, or fast enough to get there Genuine interest in preconstruction as a career, not a holding pattern Hard worker with high capacity. This team grinds when the work calls for it. Humble, coachable, ambitious, and looking to grow with a company rather than pass through it This is an in-office role. The team likes being together. Why this role You are half of the precon department, not another number at a large GC Direct mentorship from the Director of Precon and daily contact with the owner A culture people actually stay for. The Atlanta Business Chronicle ranked Lexdyn 4th on its 2020 Best Places to Work list in the small company category. Real variety. High-rise interiors one week, a healthcare build-out the next. Metro Atlanta only. No travel. Company-owned building with a golf simulator and a beer fridge for team activities. They take the work seriously and themselves less so. DO NOT reach out to Lexdyn directly. Your application must go through this Indeed post to be considered.
