Learn more at www.kpff.com . Job Description We are seeking a passionate Entry-Level Civil/Roadway Engineer to join our growing transportation group in Boise, Idaho. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects across Idaho, including work for public agencies like ITD, local agencies, and municipalities. You will support multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients, contributing to projects that positively impact communities throughout the state. In this position, you will: Assist in the design, planning, and execution of transportation engineering projects, ensuring adherence to ITD and local standards. Prepare plans, profiles, cross sections, details, quantity calculations, and cost estimates under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Develop and organize design files and technical deliverables using civil design and computer-aided drafting software. Coordinate with drainage, utility, structures, traffic, survey, environmental, and other project disciplines. Participate in field visits, site assessments, and construction observations while following applicable safety requirements. Contribute to team discussions, quality-control reviews, and collaborative problem-solving. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Up to two years of experience in civil/transportation engineering. Previous exposure to infrastructure projects in Idaho preferred. Previous work (or internship) experience in transportation engineering preferred. Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads; experience with Idaho-specific tools and standards is preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Additional Information Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits. Capacity to move around project sites and navigate uneven terrain. Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials. Working in the office at least 3 days per week.
