at Amentum in Scoville, Idaho, United States Job Description Structural Engineer This role will provide structural engineering expertise in support of the SFHP Project. This role will help deliver the SFHP design to construction completion and commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to all aspects of structural engineering including review and checking of design documents and deliverables from the contractors/subcontractors. Typical experience and duties include the following: + Experience with structural engineering concepts and construction standards, methods, practices and techniques materials and equipment to determine compliance with federal, state and local codes and regulations. + Evaluate and advise on contracted work to ensure its quality and compliance with plans, designs, and specifications. + Determine the adequacy and validity of contractor data and compliance with safety requirements. + Track progress and status of projects and contractual change orders using various reporting mechanisms. + Make on-site inspections of construction sites to determine solutions for potential or actual problem areas, ensure compliance with project requirements and resolve technical issues Qualifications 5+ Years of experience in the design and analysis of structural systems Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET Accredited program State of Idaho Professional Engineering License or able to obtain within six months Demonstrated experience working on a range of projects from concept through construction completion Knowledge of design, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness Familiarity with
