$80,000 - $120,000 Annually Position Summary Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and municipal projects. Ideal candidates will bring a Professional Engineer License (P.E), strong report writing and reviewing experience, project oversight capabilities, and a solid geotechnical background.
Responsibilities:
Prepare proposals, scopes, and project budgets for upcoming work Manage geotechnical projects from initiation through completion Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses and write detailed geotechnical reports Review, mentor, and co-sign reports prepared by other engineers Track project budgets, invoicing, and overall financial performance Coordinate and schedule field crews, drilling operations, and technicians Provide technical recommendations to drilling crews, field staff, and clients Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 5-15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience Professional Engineer (PE) license is required Experience with geotechnical reports for City of Chicago projects would be a plus Strong technical writing and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
