- Project Engineer - East Plant, Decatur, IL
Position Summary:
- The East Plant Project Engineer reports to the site Project Engineering Manager and is a key member of the east plant improvement organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- + Partner with improvement engineers, ensure stewardship of viable capital projects from inception to commissioning + Effective management of personnel and resources to balance schedules, budgets, and scope/quality of projects + Preparation of AFEs and lifecycle management - creation though capitalization.
Job Requirements:
- + Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline + Minimum of 3 years of project/process engineering experience, PSM experience a plus + Must be able to apply engineering competencies to practical real world situations + Colleague will design processing systems and equipment required for the production of food grade products + General knowledge of codes, relevant standards, and materials/metallurgy related to processing equipment + Knowledge of industrial chemical and food production plant processes and related systems such as: pressure vessels, reactors, distillation, spray drying, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, dry powder technologies, utilities, packaging, and other unit operations is desired + Strong leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
