Role:

CBRE is looking for a facility Maintenance Associate at a large production facility in DeKalb, IL who will take pride in keeping buildings running like clockwork. If you're hands-on, reliable, and ready to grow, we want to hear from you! CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems including custodial components. This role supports energy efficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes, and assists with equipment installations and modifications. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
