Job Description

Job Title:
Senior Civil Structural Engineer Locations:
Downers Grove, IL Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience leading industrial steel & concrete structural projects in Power and/or Oil & Gas.
  • 12+ years of Structural Engineering experience in the Power and Industrial industry.
  • Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.). (preferred NOT required)
  • Professional registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (preferred NOT required)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, STAADPro, RISA, Enercalc or similar analysis software
  • Familiarity with 3D design and viewing software such as
Navisworks Summary:
Senior Structural Engineer role responsible for leading structural design efforts, reviewing calculations/models, and ensuring all plans meet applicable codes and regulations. Provides technical mentorship to junior engineers, prepares reports/drawings/presentations, and analyzes site investigation data to support risk mitigation plans. Handles temporary structure design, material takeoffs, technical specifications, and scopes of work for steel, concrete, and geotechnical work. Works closely with architects, clients, and cross-functional teams while supporting field walkdowns, construction, and commissioning to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Pay:
$52.00 - $57.00 per hour
