Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support capital projects within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, and schedule. The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering expertise along with hands on experience in equipment lifecycle and project execution. This position requires close collaboration with cross functional teams and external vendors to drive successful project delivery. The role also demands working in a plant environment with a focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support capital projects including planning, design, and execution within the manufacturing plant Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely completion of project deliverables Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking Create and maintain equipment lifecycle documentation including user requirements, specifications, and operating procedures Participate in factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, startup, and qualification activities Review engineering drawings and oversee contractor activities during installation and construction Track project performance to ensure scope, cost, and quality expectations are achieved Assist in procurement activities including scope definition, vendor selection, and equipment purchasing Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership Perform quality checks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with standards
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Experience working in pharmaceutical medical device or GMP regulated manufacturing environment Hands on experience with equipment commissioning qualification FAT and SAT Experience with engineering documentation such as PFD and P and ID Strong project management experience including scope cost and schedule management Familiarity with PLC systems and automation Experience working with vendors contractors and cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation and controls engineering Experience with drug product or oral solid dosage manufacturing Strong leadership and decision making skills in project environments
