A Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for supporting the project management team. In addition to being able to handle all the responsibilities of a Project Coordinator, and the PE will review, analyze, and help resolve construction related issues and discrepancies with the architect/engineer, owner, subcontractors, and vendors. PE's will manage and organize all construction documentation including, but not limited to, submittals, RFI's, and meeting minutes. A PE should achieve working knowledge of development of bid packages, scopes of work, construction schedules and site utilization programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and policies Coordinate the procurement of permits and inspections with local jurisdictions Work closely with the project team in the development of bid packages, scopes of work, construction schedules and site utilization programs Work to develop, drive and implement project goals as a core member of a dedicated team Learn and use any/all applicable company software programs Manage and maintain a detailed document submittal and request for information (RFI) processes Work with the project team to expedite materials, deliveries, and equipment Preparation and distribution of meeting agenda and minutes Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to project status Manage the project close out and punch list process Construction Experience or experience in similar field College Degree - (Construction Management or Engineering preferred) and/or two years similar service Results-driven ability to effectively manage and follow-up on multiple priorities Be organized and team oriented. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with management, staff, vendors, and clients Commitment to quality and attention-to-detail Proficient with industry standard computer skills and software (MS Office, Excel & Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) The ability to learn and adapt quickly.
