We are currently seeking structural engineers to help us serve our expanding client base. Candidates from entry-level through 10+ years of experience will be considered. Enspect, Inc. is a consulting firm providing Structural Engineering services for commercial and industrial projects . Our engineers perform the structural design for commercial buildings including retail centers, office buildings, medical buildings, schools, and churches, as well as structures found in industrial facilities in the metals, material handling and chemical industries. While much of our work is concentrated in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area, we are licensed in numerous states.

Structural Engineers Required Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering is required, and a master's degree is welcomed. For experienced applicants, PE or SE registration is desired.

Job Responsibilities:

Analysis and design of foundation systems: piles, grade beams, mats, spread footings, slabs-on-grade Analysis and design of gravity-load carrying systems: structural steel, steel joists, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood, glazing systems Analysis and design of lateral-load carrying systems: braced frames, moment frames, shear walls Preparation of formal calculations to document the analysis and design Drafting of structural plans, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Revit Coordinating with clients and other discipline engineers Field investigations of existing conditions prior to construction Site visits during construction Senior-level candidates will have additional responsibilities including: Meeting with clients to establish project parameters and develop an engineering scope of work Preparation of structural specifications Directing entry-level engineers, drafters, and designers in the preparation of contract documents Assisting contractors during the bid process and during construction Enspect, Inc. provides an excellent opportunity for career advancement for entry-level to senior-level structural engineers.
