Job Description
Hicks & Mann, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying firm in Williamstown, Kentucky, practicing since 1976. We are hiring a civil engineer, EIT or PE, for site civil and municipal design from first grading concept through construction. The work Private development (subdivisions and commercial sites) and public work for cities, water districts and fiscal courts. You will report to the engineer of record, a licensed Kentucky PE. If you are an EIT, you will get the responsible charge experience you need for licensure. What you would do Site layout, grading, drainage and stormwater detention design Sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main design Subdivision improvement plans through county and city review Erosion control plans and construction stormwater permits Entrance and encroachment permits through KYTC and the counties Quantities, estimates and specifications Construction administration: submittals, RFIs, site visits and pay applications What we need Civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program Kentucky PE, or EIT intending to sit for the PE. We pay for the exam, review course and license. Two or more years of site civil or municipal design. New graduates with strong internships will be considered. Civil 3D, or the ability to pick it up quickly Clear writing for city engineers, contractors and planning commissions What helps KYTC and county planning commission experience HydroCAD, HEC-RAS or StormCAD Water and wastewater experience Comfort presenting at public meetings Compensation Pay depends on licensure and experience, and we will give you a number on the first call. W-2 position with paid time off. Exam fees, review course, license and professional dues covered.
