Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required . Professional Engineer (PE) license required, preferably in Louisiana, or ability to obtain Louisiana licensure within 6 months. Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering design software. Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience in industrial, municipal, water/wastewater, site development, or commercial building projects. Strong knowledge of current design codes and standards, including

IBC, ACI

318, AISC, and ASCE 7. Experience using structural analysis and design software such as

RISA, STAAD

. Pro, Revit, Advanced Steel, or similar platforms. Project management experience including budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, contract administration, and construction oversight. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client management skills. Experience mentoring junior engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams. Physical Capabilities Ability to work in both office and field environments, including occasional site visits and construction inspections. Ability to review technical drawings, reports, specifications, and engineering calculations. Ability to travel to project sites as required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Job Duties Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction for industrial, municipal, water/wastewater, and commercial facilities. Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, cold-formed steel structures, foundations, and equipment supports. Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, resources, and construction administration activities. Review shop drawings, submittals, and construction progress to ensure quality and compliance. Utilize BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software to develop coordinated designs. Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams. Mentor junior staff, resolve project challenges, and maintain high standards of engineering excellence and professional integrity. Benefits
