STRUCTURAL SUPERINTENDENT

Boyce, LA Job Summary The Structural Superintendent is responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing all structural field operations for a hyperscale data center project. This includes managing structural steel erection, concrete foundations, tilt panels, precast elements, embeds, anchor systems, and all associated superstructure activities. Working closely with project management, engineers, and trade partners, the Structural Superintendent ensures that safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met while maintaining the precision and speed required for mission-critical data center construction. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Primary Duties Structural Field Leadership & Coordination Direct and coordinate all structural activities, including steel erection, concrete placement, rebar installation, embeds, structural framing, and elevated deck systems. Collaborate with owner representatives, structural engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of structural designs. Lead daily coordination with structural trade partners, ensuring proper sequencing, crane picks, lift plans, and installation methods. Conduct preconstruction meetings with structural subcontractors prior to each phase of work. Mentor junior superintendents and field staff, promoting strongmunication and teamwork. Develop and maintain structural-specific site logistics plans, including crane locations, rigging paths, laydown areas, and material delivery coordination. Plan manpower, equipment, and material needs to support aggressive hyperscale structural schedules. Participate in the development and management of the CPM schedule, including short-term look-ahead planning for structural activities. Evaluate field progress against the plan and implement recovery strategies when necessary. Coordinate heavy lifts, crane operations, and specialized structural equipment. Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with a focus on fall protection, rigging, crane operations, and elevated work. Enforcepliance with OSHA standards,pany safety procedures, and hyperscale client-specific safety requirements. Identify hazards, report incidents, and promote a proactive safety culture. Ensure structural quality control, including bolt tensioning, weld inspections, concrete testing, embed placement, and alignment tolerances. interpret and utilize structural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, erection plans, and engineering details. Perform constructability reviews and provide feedback to engineering teams. Maintain accurate as-built documentation, redlines, and revision logs for all structural scopes. Review and verify quantity takeoffs, material deliveries, and installation sequencing. Track milestonepletion and ensure structural work aligns with overall project sequencing. Manage punch list development andpletion for all structural scopes. Supportmissioning and MEP teams by ensuring structural elements areplete, accessible, andpliant. Assist with turnover documentation, testing records, and final inspections. Demonstratepany values, professionalism, and integrity at all times. Followpany Code of Conduct and uphold high ethical standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by project leadership to support successful project delivery. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 6 years of structural construction experience, preferably on large-scale, fast-paced, or mission-critical projects. Experience managing structural scopes valued over $1 million. Strong understanding of structural planning, sequencing, and scheduling. Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications. Solid understanding of financial and cost-control principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with scheduling or modeling software is a plus. Experience with hyperscale data centers or other mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
