Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Deliver essential medical-surgical nursing care and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population. This role offers an opportunity to apply your experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing, and make a significant impact on patient recovery and well-being.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of one year experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing situations Commitment to patient-centered care and patient safety
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgery or managing complex medical conditions Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress, promptly reporting changes to the care team Administer medications, perform wound care, manage IVs, and carry out provider-ordered treatments accurately Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to coordinate individualized care plans Educate patients and families on condition management, medications, and post-discharge care Uphold infection control policies and maintain a safe, clean care environment Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and transitions as required
