Job Description

Master Millwork is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Massachusetts to support the continued expansion of our work across the country. Our company has deep roots in the Greater Boston area and throughout New England, where we have built a strong reputation for the exceptional quality of our custom architectural millwork. Over the years, our work has been part of senior living communities, multi-unit residential buildings, hotels, restaurants, schools, and high-end homes where quality, coordination, and attention to detail make all the difference. As we have grown, our reach has expanded well beyond New England. Today, Master Millwork is involved in projects across the United States, but the way we approach our work has not changed. We still believe in craftsmanship, clear communication, accountability, and taking pride in the details. Those values are what helped build our reputation, and they continue to guide the way we work with our clients, partners, and team members. This is an exciting time to join Master Millwork. This position offers the opportunity to be part of an established company with a strong foundation, a growing national presence, and a team that takes real pride in doing the job the right way. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates well, and understands what it takes to keep projects moving in the right direction. The right person will bring a strong work ethic, a steady approach, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a growing company with a strong history and an exciting future, Master Millwork may be the right fit for you. Responsibilities Maintain accurate information in project logs, management systems, and status trackers. Maintain organized electronic project files and verify that current drawings, specifications, submittals, requests for information, and other project documents are available to the team. Assist with preparing, submitting, distributing, and tracking submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, product data, material samples, and approvals. Track project deadlines, outstanding approvals, material procurement, deliveries, and other open items, following up with team members and vendors as directed. Coordinate project meetings, schedule appointments, prepare meeting minutes, and track assigned action items. Monitor project correspondence and help ensure information is documented and routed to the appropriate employees and departments. Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Field teams to support project requirements. Perform other project-related duties as necessary. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and consistently follow up on outstanding items. Ability to learn technical project information, construction workflows, and document-control procedures. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree, coursework, or formal training in construction management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field. Previous experience or an internship in construction, architectural millwork, manufacturing, project coordination, or office administration. Familiarity with architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
