As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer at D.W. Kozera, Inc., you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across diverse locations, while performing specialty foundation testing like dynamic pile testing, crosshole sonic logging, and more. This role is perfect for an engineer with a Master's degree who thrives on solving complex challenges and wants to gain real-world experience in both the field and the office.
Compensation:
$60,000 - $75,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
Be at the forefront of impactful geotechnical projects, from dynamic pile testing and deep foundation analysis to support of excavation design. Travel to unique and exciting construction sites, gaining hands-on field experience and contributing to high-profile infrastructure projects. Perform advanced testing techniques such as static and dynamic pile testing, thermal integrity profiling, and deep foundation verification. Collaborate with experts in deep foundations and marine construction, enhancing your technical skills and growing your professional network. Conduct geotechnical design calculations using industry-leading software (e.g., GRLWEAP, DeepEX) and provide expert recommendations to clients. Lead field operations, including soil classification, boring layouts, and overseeing geotechnical instrumentation programs. Prepare reports and communicate findings directly to clients, contractors, and project managers. This job description is a snapshot of the position. Responsibilities may evolve as new projects arise.
Qualifications:
What You Bring:
A Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with a focus on deep foundations and ground improvement. A passion for fieldwork, problem-solving, and learning cutting-edge testing methods. Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical principles, with a keen interest in specialty foundation testing. The flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with project teams, contractors, and clients. About Company D.W.
