Project Engineer -
Heavy Civil & Underground Utilities Location:
Greenbelt, MD Job Type:
Full-Time Pay:
$80,000-$100,000/year We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support Project Managers and Superintendents on heavy civil and underground utility construction projects. This role is hands-on and involves project administration, scheduling, cost tracking, field coordination, engineering, and problem solving to help ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality requirements. What You'll Do Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination Assist with field planning and resolving issues that arise on site Track project schedules, budgets, costs, and change orders Update CPM schedules and provide accurate weekly project progress Assist with monthly pay estimates and cost reporting Support subcontractor and material vendor buyout Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and project review information Help identify potential issues early and develop solutions Ensure work complies with contract specifications and project requirements Read and interpret water main, sanitary sewer, and storm pipeline drawings Support jobsite safety procedures and requirements Maintain strong relationships with clients and onsite personnel What We're Looking For 5+ years of utility construction/project experience Strong knowledge of water, sanitary sewer, and/or stormwater construction Knowledge of civil construction, earthwork, excavation, and underground utilities Experience with water/sewer line installation or replacement Knowledge of bypass pumping Familiarity with grading, clearing, excavation, drainage, and stream restoration Strong understanding of construction project coordination and administration Ability to read and understand utility construction drawings Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred Preferred Project Coordinator or similar construction experience HCSS experience Sage Timberline experience
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
