Job Description

Job Description E.S. Boulos Company is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects across New England. Based in our Engineering & Design department, you'll assist with planning, coordination, and documentation for large commercial, industrial, utility, and renewable energy projects. You'll work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and union electricians to review drawings, manage submittals, track costs, and maintain safety and quality standards in a collaborative, training-focused environment with clear growth opportunities. Responsibilities Support planning and execution of electrical construction projects from design through closeout Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure constructability and code compliance Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and change order development Coordinate with field supervisors, union electricians, and subcontractors on schedules and materials Monitor project progress, costs, documentation, and quality control Participate in jobsite visits, RFIs, and issue resolution with project managers and designers Ensure adherence to company and OSHA safety standards on all assigned projects Assist with commissioning, testing, and turnover documentation Required Skills Electrical construction knowledge Reading and interpreting plans and specifications Auto CAD or Revit for electrical design coordination Construction estimating and quantity takeoffs Project scheduling (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project) Submittal, RFI, and change order management Proficiency with Excel and construction spreadsheets Familiarity with NEC and electrical codes Field coordination and site walk-throughs Safety and OSHA compliance knowledge
