Job Duties:

Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for civil and structural systems, providing technical engineering guidance and expertise. Lead civil and structural engineering efforts for capital projects, including new building construction, facility expansions, and renovations, supporting strategic plant development and operational upgrades. Support design coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring alignment with project goals, manufacturing needs, and compliance standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project requirements, develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedules. Review civil and structural system designs submitted by external engineering firms to ensure alignment with implementation plans. Verify compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes, as well as company standards and operational requirements. Responsible for the review of shop drawings, process RFIs, and Kanban tasks related to client systems. Coordinate construction and maintenance activities during weekends and plant shutdowns with contractors, facility teams, and manufacturing personnel. Perform ongoing inspections to monitor and verify construction progress and quality. Assist with construction administration tasks, including schedule management, quality control, coordination meetings, and execution of planned utility outages. Use of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office.

Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Project Engineer or related experience. Position requires 6 months of experience with structural design, AutoCAD, and MS Project. 40hrs/week.
