Civil Engineer - Andover

The City of Andover is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This full-time position plays an important role in planning, designing, and overseeing public improvement projects that support the City's infrastructure and development. The Civil Engineer manages projects from concept through construction, including reviewing development plans, preparing construction drawings for utilities and streets, and coordinating with contractors, developers, and residents. Responsibilities also include preparing engineering studies, cost estimates, and reports while ensuring projects meet city, state, and federal standards. The position collaborates with engineering technicians, consultants, and City leadership to deliver high-quality infrastructure and responsive customer service. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least two years of related experience. A Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within two years, is required.
