This position focuses on supporting learners with Learning Disabilities (LD) at the start of the upcoming academic year, running through Thanksgiving. Working full-time, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators to deliver impactful reading interventions, executive functioning support, and special education instructional services. To excel in this role, the following background is desired: Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License Learning Disabilities (LD) licensure is highly preferred Prior experience supporting high school students with special needs Strong background providing reading interventions and executive functioning strategies Proven ability to implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and deliver academic accommodations Previous work in high school special education environments is a plus Comfort integrating into established teams and adapting quickly Experience supporting students with executive functioning deficits or with a reading intervention focus is valued Key responsibilities include: Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to high school students with LD, with a particular emphasis on reading Support students' executive functioning and organizational skill development Coordinate and implement IEPs, including documentation and progress monitoring Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to promote student success This long-term substitute assignment provides educators an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a vibrant school, develop new skills, and expand their professional network.
