Intern - Civil Engineering (Summer 2027) Sambatek, Inc. United States, Minnesota, Minnetonka 12800 Whitewater Drive (Show on map) Sep 10, 2026 Description Sambatek, LLC is a professional services firm that specializes in civil engineering, planning, surveying, and environmental services. We serve public and private clients throughout the country with office locations in Minnesota, Texas, and North Carolina. We embrace challenging projects and work hard to help our clients find success. Summary We are seeking engineering interns for Summer 2027! As an intern, you will gain valuable work experience in your field of study by working side by side with fellow Sambatek professionals on current, real life projects. Our engineering interns may support the following areas: Transportation (roadway, traffic, planning, water resources, highway design)
Land Development - Commercial/Residential (site planning, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, utility design)
Construction Services (construction inspection, material testing)
Municipal - Water/Wastewater (planning and design of drinking water and wastewater systems for municipalities and industries) __________________
Work Location:
In office for maximum learning potential
Expected Compensation:
$24.00 per hour
Pay Rate Type:
Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week Responsibilities Provide team support in production of all project deliverables
Support colleagues in meeting project goals and deadlines
Train on applicable design software such as OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GEOPAK, etc.
Gain field experience-- spend time in the field, in addition to the office, to perform construction inspection, material testing, and see project sites to grow as a designer Requirements In progress Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (junior or senior status preferred)
Self-motivated with strong communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Skilled in managing multiple tasks with attention to detail, independently or collaboratively
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is primarily performed in an office environment
Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
