JOB SUMMARY
The Structural Engineering Intern will work with engineering and design staff to design buildings and structures constructed of concrete, structural steel, and masonry.
JOB DUTIES
Work with Engineers and Design staff on specific project Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques/requirements. Participate in design research and other activities as Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Comply with Company's Quality Control and Project Management Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's Perform other duties as

Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex. This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar is Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is Familiarity with FEA structural software is Ability to work in a fast-paced Strong Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings is Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills. Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business Must comply with Vestal Corporations' core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.
