We're looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who's ready to step into a true leadership role: guiding land development projects from concept to construction while building strong client relationships along the way. If you're someone who wants more than just "checking plans"—if you want responsibility, influence, and a seat at the table—this is that role. What You'll Do Lead land development projects as Engineer-of-Record and Project Manager Take responsibility for project outcomes: quality, timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies Guide and mentor Assistant Project Managers and technical staff Design and review site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including: Grading, erosion control, and subdivisions Water, sewer, and stormwater systems Stormwater management and final plats Coordinate permitting and approvals with local and state agencies Represent projects in meetings with boards, agencies, and stakeholders What You Bring ✅ Active North Carolina PE license (required) Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) ️ 5+ years in land development engineering 2+ years leading projects or managing people Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D ️ Clear communicator and confident leader Valid NC driver's license Nice to Have Experience with Ajera or similar project financial software Background in client-facing consulting Familiarity with land surveying principles Why FEI?
